Melissa studied at the Royal College of
Art, before going on to work experience at Alexander McQueen, and was
subsequently offered a job as textile designer for womenswear.
She subsequently designed for Suzy
Hoodless Ltd, an interior design consultancy where she worked on bespoke
commissions for commercial and residential interiors.
She also designed two ranges of
wallpapers, for Cole & Son and Osborne & Little.
Melissa has also designed two ranges for
Habitat: 'Melissa' and 'Flow', and a small range for Ny-Lon Design for the
V&A Museum and Debenhams.
Fashion clients include McQueen, Burberry,
Aquascutum and All Saints.
Melissa set up and edited the textiles
website www.yshlondon.com, and has worked as a trends writer for WGSN and
Stylesight.
